BJ Colangelo is a survivor. Raised in Chicago, IL, she now resides in Cleveland, OH where she writes about horror films, creates her own films and is continuing to kick cancer’s ass. BJ joins me to discuss her battle with Pancreatic Cancer and how Horror films helped in many aspects of her healing and empowerment.

About BJ Colangelo:

BJ Colangelo is a recovering toddler and tiara easing the pain of her glamorous childhood with horror movies, drag queens, musical theatre, professional wrestling and vintage smut. She write about cinema for numerous publications including Blumhouse.com, Playboy.com, Birth.Movies.Death, and Bitch Flicks. Her work has been featured in Fangoria Magazine as well as three academic books and considers herself to be the lovechild of Christopher Sarandon in Fright Night and Susan Sarandon in The Hunger.

Look for her directorial debut POWERBOMB via Sickening Pictures, coming soon.

An import from the Chicagoland area, BJ has also made a name for herself in the Cleveland musical theatre scene, in addition to her current (winning) battle against pancreatic cancer.
